Cambridge drug dealer caught with cocaine stuffed inside a sock and in chewing gum tab

Inside the 23-year-old’s bedroom they found a sock with 34 bags of cocaine inside

Eight bags of cocaine were found stashed in a chewing gum inside the car of a Cambridgeshire cocaine dealer. Isuf Qaushi was driving a silver Ford Focus on 10 July when police pulled him over in Ditton Fields after suspecting he had no insurance.

Officers searched his vehicle and found eight bags of cocaine stashed in a chewing gum tab.

Despite carrying some house keys, Qaushi refused to give a home address. However, a search of his mobile phone revealed he regularly orders taxis to a house in Kaldor Court, Cambridge.

Inside the 23-year-old’s bedroom they found a sock with a further 34 bags of cocaine inside as well as cash and a mobile phone with messages linking him to drug dealing.

At Cambridge Crown Court yesterday (3 October), Qaushi, was sentenced to a year and eight months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of criminal property, driving otherwise in accordance with a license and no insurance.

PC James Good, who investigated, said: “We will continue to target people who live in and visit Cambridge to deal drugs.

“Drugs bring misery and violence to our communities, and we urge members of the public to continue reporting information to us.”
