Michelle Hall is back in prison – this time for assault and robbery in Wisbech – three years after she was jailed for trying to force oral sex on a man in Huntingdon in exchange £5.

Peterborough Crown Court was told that Hall approached her latest victim, a 72-year-old woman, outside Winners Bingo Hall in Hill Street, Wisbech.

It was 7.30pm on February 5 and as the woman went to get some money out of her wallet, Hall grabbed it and hit her in the face, causing scratches.

Hall grabbed woman's handbag

There was a tussle between the two and Hall grabbed the woman’s handbag.

Hall once again hit the victim in the face before running off with the handbag and wallet.

She was identified on CCTV and arrested that evening.

On April 26 at Peterborough Crown Court, Hall, of South Brink, Wisbech, was jailed for three years and six months having pleaded guilty to robbery.

DC Annie Fenton said: “Hall carried out this shocking and cowardly robbery on a vulnerable woman who was going to help her.

“Instead of taking the kind offer of money, Hall took advantage of the situation to rob her, so I am glad she has now faced justice.”

In January 2020 Hall was jailed for 20 months after admitting sexual assault.

Hall knocked at a stranger's door in Huntingdon late at night asking for money. When he refused, she barged past and offered oral sex in exchange, which he also refused.

Groped victim and fled

She then groped the victim and tried to pull his trousers down before fleeing.

Cambridgeshire Police said the man had refused all Hall's demands, and repeatedly asked her to stop when she turned up unannounced at his door at about 11.25pm GMT on 16 October.

It was "a harrowing experience for the victim, who was forced to endure an unexpected ordeal in his own home", PC Jess Porter said.

Hall admitted sexual assault and was jailed for 20 months.

The judge ordered Hall ordered she be put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
